Photographer Freeman Patterson observed that the camera points both ways: how and what we choose to photograph tells a story about the subject as well as the photographer. I am in the process of preparing a portfolio of 20 – 30 images for an intensive photography course with Sam Abell at the end of the month. My website also needs to be updated so I’m doing a deep dive into my photo archives to compile images that have meaning for me. In the process I hope to learn more about myself and improve my work in the future.
