Northern Kenya
Lewa downs & Namunyak conservancy in Samburu County
I returned to Kenya in 2018 for the graduation ceremony at Kisaruni, Me To We’s girls high school and to offer some mental health training to the East African staff. I also signed up for a photo safari at the end of the month. This left me with 6 days of free time between commitments. I headed north to explore another area of Kenya – Lewa Wildlife Conservancy renowned for its protection of rhinos and Sarara Camp in Samburu County where I was the only guest in almost a million acres of pristine wilderness. Northern Kenya offered new terrain, some new wildlife and a new friendship with Joseph Mutemi, a young Maasai Warrior dreaming of post-secondary education. Learn more about Joseph here
